Endangerment
Most important negative factor affecting the population of Minuartia smejkalii in NM Hadce u Hrnčíř is inappropriate method of forest management, which leads to the formation of dense pine forests. This management is associated with acidification of soil and the development of acidophilic vegetation. Further, competitively strong grasses expand there, especially Molinia caeruela agg., which quickly displace M. smejkalii from its location. A particular problem is the collection of M. smejkalii individuals for the purpose of cultivation in their own gardens.
